In 2011-12 we have two men's teams, one in the NI 7 Financial National League and one in the NI First Division, and one women's team in the NI National League. Our senior club caters for everyone regardless of ability, we have a place for you whether you are a beginner or an experienced player. Alongside our senior teams we also operate junior clubs for both boys and girls at U18 level and Junior Elks programme for primary school kids.
The Ulster Jordanstown Volleyball Club is one of the most successful volleyball clubs in the UK or Ireland. In 2005-06 we became the most successful UK or Ireland club by reaching the 2nd round of the European Cup.
In 2008-09 the club invested heavily in player development and brought in USA's Tim Johnson to coach the team and increased the number training sessions to seven a week with additional strength and conditioning sessions. This extra training paid off with the team winning the Irish Intervarsities for the third time in four years and finishing sixth in the British Universities Championships, the best ever finish for a Northern Ireland university team.
In 2009-10 the men's team had their best season ever winning the All-Ireland Premier League and the NI Cup. 2010-11 was a rebuilding year after several players moved on to form a new club in Richhill after they had finished their university degrees.
In 2009-10 the women's team also had a very successful year winning the Northern Ireland league and cup double.
2011-12 is looking like a very exciting year for Ulster Jordanstown as we again push for success.
